About this guild
Marigolds, nasturtiums, tansy, and pyrethrum daisy are classic companion flowers — some repel nematodes, others trap aphids away from veg. Use at bed corners and paths, not always in the root zone of every crop.
NZ note
Combine with Beneficial Insect guild plants for predatory wasps and lacewings.

Planting tips
- French marigolds (Tagetes) for nematode suppression — grow a season ahead if possible.
- Nasturtiums sacrifice leaves to aphids — accept some damage as the point.
- Tansy and wormwood are potent — keep contained, not in vegetable root zones.
